More Than a Century
The Irvine Ranch® has been under private ownership for more than 100 years and is considered one of the largest and most successful master-planned urban environments in the United States. Located in the heart of Orange County, the 93,000-acre Ranch is less than an hour south of Los Angeles and about 90 minutes north of San Diego. It stretches nine miles along the Pacific coast and 22 miles inland and encompasses more than one-fifth of Orange County’s total 798 square miles.
The City of Irvine is the geographical and historical heart of The Irvine Ranch®, which also includes parts of Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Tustin, Orange and Anaheim, plus unincorporated county land. The Ranch is home to approximately 230,000 residents, and about the same number of people work here.
